Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Bit & Grain ("the Service"), operated by Bit & Grain Technologies LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Bit & Grain is a business management platform designed for tradespeople. The Service includes equipment tracking, job management, invoicing, scheduling, AI-powered tools, and related features available through our web application and mobile apps.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

Bit & Grain offers a free tier and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed monthly. You may cancel your subscription at any time, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.

5. Payment Processing

If you use our payment processing features (Stripe Connect, PayPal Commerce), you agree to the respective payment processor's terms of service. Bit & Grain facilitates payments between you and your clients but is not a party to those transactions.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Upload malicious code or content
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization

7. Your Data

You retain ownership of all data you enter into the Service. We will not sell your data to third parties. You may export your data at any time. Upon account deletion, your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

8. AI Features

Grain AI and other AI-powered features are provided as tools to assist your business operations. AI-generated content (estimates, job plans, social media captions) should be reviewed before use. We are not responsible for decisions made based on AI-generated output.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may terminate your account at any time through your account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bit & Grain Technologies LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
